A beautiful new year awaits

It’s hard to believe a new year

will soon be here 

2026,

a year that’s already captured my heart

before I could even sneak a peek.

This past year, though,

taught me a lot.

It reminded me to look inward,

because everything I need

already lives within me

I just have to find the courage

to begin there.

I learned that success is often quiet,

slipping in and out of the shadows

asking for only time and belief. 

I fought.

I broke.

but I also smiled and mended
