Complicated Culture

You love feeling a sense of community

But when you run in the same circles for

Too deep

It suffocates the very thing

You could feel arise

Their interpretation of things

is honestly backward

I thought they valued the feeling

Not the material itself

But why would they ever

Practice what they preach

It’s much easier to say

And proclaim

than to do

And keep in practice

I love my circle

But sometimes, it’s hard to be proud

because of their actions

or simply the lack of them.
