Connection (New & Old)

eyes tired

and circled for the ride

but heart happy

as my chest swelled with pride

at seeing all my inner circle has accomplished

and the new ones who entered my life

seem so open and ready

for whatever life throws at them

and I felt the circle overhead

blend into the common thread

it’s crazy to think

we all run the same way

but it never feels the same

a coffee feels different

a night feels longer

a song feels louder

and someone that you have known for two seconds or five years

can change your entire day

or way

so here’s to the ones that run

away and to

for I could not have done it without you.
