Icy Clear
I once heard
that tears allow your eyes to see clearly
never have I found this more true than the season of winter
eerily cheery
oh, how the past escapes even though it is right near me
Some say that winter is weary
Not to mention overly dreary
I agree (only in theory)
Oh, how the past escapes
even though it is right near me
But there is something so sincerely fierce
about how the air makes your bones feel chilly
how the snow brushes your hair oh so delicately
and love
well, love seems silly
full of snow fights and candle lights
while the wind hears me
Winter, as fearful as you are
I know you will steer me towards what is near and far
Because I know you are
not so grim
after all
