More Than What Meets the Eye

I’m shivering

and terrified of the world that I have stepped in

Like many of us,

I struggle

struggle to be at peace with what the world sees

and my inner voice

but what brings me comfort

is that they do not need to know

the inner workings

unless

I let them in

and what a privilege that is

to know what happens

beyond what meets the eye
