Snowflakes glistened in your eyes

clinging fervently onto your lashes

as you looked deeply at me

and it’s like I just made sense of gravity

everything stopped

and my heart had finally burst open

after years of suppressing, you did what others couldn’t

and I don’t think we realized the depth felt

in this one, single moment

so the snowflakes kept falling
