The Tragedy of this Day

Retired New York City Fire Chief Albert Petrocelli died from COVID-19 in April, nearly two decades after losing his youngest son, Mark, in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Before he passed, Chief Petrocelli and his wife, Ginger, sat down at StoryCorps to remember the last time they saw their son.
