Fall into Spring

As I fall into the spring

I think of the weeds, the rubble, and the shoulder that always seems to crumble

The seasons of change have always brought you

one step closer to me

But I have realized that perhaps

the water is too unknown for my liking

Seeing the reflection is quite important to me

So I find

A mirror to my need

A twinkle of being freed

And pull on the fall leaves and forbidden apple trees

I find myself doing something

That I know, you will hate

But you know what?

I feel free

Not bound by vines or ice

In control.

As I spring into fall

Finally set free
