Feeling little

Have you ever felt little?

I know that I have

Not little in age

Or in size

But little in significance

So when I stood up in the forest

From the bathtub

from the mirrored air

I felt dizzy

Like the world was too much

And somehow that made me too little

and while that may be true

I am one

And there are a million

No one has faced their demons

Their fears

The world’s best-kept souvenirs

Like you

And what a wonderful thought that is

Not to sleep but

To lie awake to
