Recreate & make it better

History has a funny way of repeating itself

And yet, we humans never learn

The bedrock of democracy

is supposed to be strong

The principles moved mountains

Sailed across the world

But we know that all it takes

is a hole in the foundation

an opening for anger

for someone

to seize the moment

and slowly open up a chasm of fire

After all

even the steadiest and strongest of boats

quake in the face of a storm

Luckily, no storm lasts forever

Especially when all hands are on deck
