The People I’ve Met

the people I’ve met

have given me so many tears,

so many reasons not to trust,

and an endless amount of fear.

but the people I’ve met

have also given me so much joy.

They have reminded me of my worth, my excellence,

why the love I pour will be given back to me.

Endless, unafraid, with no apologies for why it’s here.

have made me question my path sometimes

and wonder if one day,

it will all eventually be clear.
